Kos, Greece

Wednesday 7 August
 
Kos
 
 
the bus are waiting to take the passengers to their excursion

 
we went to see the ruins of Asklepieion

 
a very, very old fountain still working
some of the people had a drink from it
(not us)

filling our water bottle from a spring in Pyli


went to visit Charmilos'grave
 



had a very nice Greek lunch in Kefalos village
some from our tour went for a swim before eating.
 

 
and then to visit a"honey farm"
our tour guide had to do the translation

and honey with walnuts

 
 
a working 200y old wind mill

 
then we visited a replica of a "traditional house"






no floor space...put the baby in a hammock
 



 
the tour finished , we are on our way back to
the ship. Our guide told us if we were interested
she could take us to see the platane that Hippocrates
planted 2500y ago
 

the poor thing is being held up with scaffolding
type of supports
 


 
we did more discoveries walking
back to the ship.
