100 years of the Australian navy

Thursday 3 October

The Tall ship are arriving.

Before 9 am we were in position to
see then enter the harbour in full sails.

They are due at 11 am

Few minutes before 11 it started to rain.
We thought it will stop soon, but it became
heavier and heavier.
We were soaked.
The tall ship had to pack their sails as
it was too difficult to see safely in the harbour.
I started to laugh at how ridiculous I felt
and could not stop laughing.

Friday 4 October
100 years ago the 1st Royal Australian Navy
Fleet Unit arrived into Sydney Harbour

Beautiful sunny day
many country sent a ship to participate
with the celebrations

Saturday 5 October
We took the ferry across as parking in Sydney
will be impossible.
The city was very crowded.
Before 12 noon we stake our claim on a rock
facing the opera and a good view of the bridge.

We watched helicopter rescue display

our rock

The history of the fleet was projected
by laser onto the sails of the opera.
and loud speakers were narrating the events.
It was incredible We have never seen
anything like it.
( photos of it did not work out with my camera)
