On course tour day six

Thursday 23 January

Day six

We are driving to Geelong

We are breaking our journey with a visit
of the Werribee Mansion and its famous
park roses garden.

Built in the Hey Day of the Australian wool
industy for the Chirnside family.
The Italianate style architecture and Victorian
features of the 60 rooms home was completed in1871.

John went this morning to buy fresh seafood at
the Victoria market, prawns, oysters, smoked salmon.
We had a Seafood picnic in a park in Geelong.
The only negative was the heat.
Boy it was so hot.
It was very good, with a lovely salad,
cheese and a glass of wine.
I did not take any photos I was too busy
eating.

In the afternoon one of our visit was to the
Dennys Lascelles wool store.
The National wool museum is housed in the
original building (1872)

We took the scenic highlights of the Bellarine Peninsula.
and made our way to St Kilda.

We were still full and we hardly ate anything of the
very nice last diner.
