Kamay Botany Bay National Park

Monday 2 January

Beautiful, sunny day.
packed a picnic and went to Botany Bay
Captain Cook landing place.

We wanted a coffee, so we made a detour to Cronulla Beaches.
What a beautiful area, big modern houses, lovely beaches.
We parked at Elouera beach (both photos)

Then we walk to Wanda Beach where we saw a cafe on the beach
The cafe at Wanda beach was called "The Wanderer"
They made a very nice coffee but their sourdough
bread was more like white toast!!!!

And on we went to the National park

It is a lovely place but was a bit windy where
we decided to have our picnic.

After lunch we went for a walk.
We even walk outside the park and had a look
at the nice houses and the beautiful beaches.
It was a shame (in a way) that you could see
the big tankers and the oil refineries.

Then we took a drive to Cape Solander

Very wild and rugged

Not a place for children

Kamay Botany Bay National Park has a lot
of walking tracks. Some inland and some on
the cliff top. We will have to investigate.
