latest kitchen renovations

The old fridge and freezer. When we had the kitchen done, they used the size of the fridge to put the top cuboards. It fit very smuggly. On top of the freezer I was keeping a basket with scissors, glue stick, cellotape, masking tape and markers for labels on freezer food ( work well and cheaper than labels),pens and pencils ect....
Cupboards, fridge and freezer are all empty. Bench top cleared. Ready for action.
New fridge was coming and they were taking away the old frige.
Neil 's friend wanted the freezer so he was coming to get it
Neil and his crew were putting in the new cupbords at a higher spot and the pantry with a glass door was being install.
Claude was home, I left for a meeting with a guest speaker (an author)before going to lunch with friends at DY RSL. ( nice caesar salad with pesto chicken)

Neil doing the top cupboards

Finished

new fridge/freezer, pantry and cupboards.
I forgot to put back the picture frame and we can see the discoloration on the wood wall.
It all started as the fridge was making a funny noise and we were afraid that he broke down when full and that we will have nowhere to put the new fridge as they are all too tall to fit in the alcove.

cooking island:plain electic rings, bench, ceramic cooking top, exhaust fan and the grill

on the oposit wall: microwave, 2 ovens and all those things I need (yes messy!)
Very small TV, toaster and all the utensils plus jars of goodies

yes those are all my cooking books, even if we eat the same thing as Claude said
The glass door goes to the laundry.
This is my kitchen.
Claude is thinking of upgrading the small bathroom.
I don't know what got into him to suddenly do all that work around the place.
One minute he is talking about selling and getting a flat in Manly near the beach and next he is doing all the renovations before he retired so that the house will be maintenance free.
