Fitzroy Island: Day one

Tuesday 17 May

We are going to the island for my 70th birthday

on the ferry going from Cairns to Fitzroy Island

 

We have a nice little flat on the ground floor.

BUT there is no shop on the island

So we couldn't use this nice kitchen

After exploring we went and relax by the pool

But a shower force us back inside.

Very warm.

Saturday 14 May

I had a $15 voucher for my birthday

at the Mounties club.

So we went to have lunch at their

new restaurant.

Beautiful view, the dish were very small.

We had to have coffee and cake downstairs.

Today we are doing the showrooms

to have a look at new bathroom.

The Intercontinental

Thursday 12 May

With the aqua girls we went for lunch 

at the Intercontinental.

It is for my 70 th birthday.

And also for Martha which birth date we share.

Mother's day

Sunday 8 May

It is sprinkling 

I went to aqua but only one of my friend was there 

and she did not stay for coffee.

I went home and we had a tomato and feta cheese salad

to tie us over until lunch at Shane and Jo at 2.30

We are having an antipasto lunch.

Warriewood wetland and Waterfall walk

Saturday 7 May

We met at Warriewood Shopping mall

Were we left the cars to start our walk.

It was a nice pleasant walk so near

where we live and yet never done it.

The Wakehurst parkway was very misty.

 

We had morning tea at the cascade before going back.

Claude and I stayed at the mall 

and had lunch at the 3 beans cafe

 before doing our weekly food shopping.

Tonight we are going to a concert at the 

Cardinal Cerretti chapel in Manly.

Our friend Rhian is in the choir.

But before we have a pizza at our favorite

Beaches.

We always have a Supreme pizza with

the prawns on the side, goat cheese salad

and 2 glasses of their superb Shiraz.
