A quiet Sunday

Sunday 8 June
We took the Manly ferry to Sydney,
then the train at Circular quay to Town hall,
and then walk to Darling Harbour for lunch.

We had a nice pizza: prosciutto and rocket
and a garden salad, washed down with a glass of wine.
(there is no weight watchers meeting tomorrow night, queen's birthday)

walking to the ABC studio I saw this eye catching car.
We went for a free piano concert at the ABC for Sunday live on FM
Then we made our way back before the rain.
This photo was taken for Christopher on the ferry.
Christopher started taking photos between his feet
while reclining in a long chair, a lot of them, a bit
everywhere. So I started to do that too and send
them back to him

First fire of the season

Saturday 7 June

Tonight we made our first fire.
It was lovely to toast our feet by it.

Our 49y Anniverasy

Wednesday 4 June

We are celebrating our
49y Anniversary

Enjoying a glass of Champagne

Preparing our diner

Oysters, the only thing from the sea that
Claude eat.

Fillet, peppered and later cooked in butter
(not a weight watchers meal)

salad with toasted pine nuts

pommes noisette cooking

Caramel macadamia tart (bought one)

Claude left it up to me either:
go out to a restaurant or eat at home.

Lately I do not like going out at night
to restaurant...I cannot be bother to dress up
and go out in the dark.
So I decide a nice meal at home.
We planned an easy meal, which we enjoyed very much

and we drank the whole bottle too!

Vivid, Sydney

This is the second time that I do this blog.
2 days ago we lost the Internet and it
only just came back.
When we lost it I was almost finished with this blog
(a similar one, I hope)
and I lost all the work.
So here to try again.

Tuesday 27 May

We took the Mosman ferry to the city.
From Circular quay we took the ferry
to Darling Harbour.

Sydney is once again having a lights show,
Laser lights on buildings.

Luna Park from the ferry going to Darling Harbour.

Darling Harbord,
there is a light show on the roof of the
maratime museum

and the Star Casino

laser and fountains show

From where we were sited having diner we
saw the whole movie light show on the roof of the museum
over and over again.
It was good because if we missed something
we could see it next time around.

then we took the ferry back to Circular Quay

The Vivid cruise ship, taking people who don't
want to walk around.
But it was a very mild night and the walk and
The crowd was enjoyable.

light show on the Museum of Modern Art

some fun activities for the children.

light show on the facade of the Old Custom House

and last the Opera House

We had a very late night as we missed the 10pm
ferry back to Mosman and had to wait to 11pm,
then the drive back home.

Joshua birthday party

Sunday 25 May

Joshua is turning 3 y ears today.

Jo is at a hockey game so we went
and help Shane carry the food in our
car to the park where the party is
going to be.
I gave Joshua is present...
What a disappointment.
Amelia said:
ANOTHER FIRE ENGINE!
So we whisked it back to our car
to be exchanged for a bulldozer.

All that food and more still in the containers.
Jo has made blue jelly with shark fin
sticking out, cup cakes, chocolate crackles,
honey joy etc
and Shane made some fairies bread this morning.
Children of all ages still like fairies bread.

Table cloth, serviettes, glasses and plates were
all black. Joshua is having a
Pirate party.

and here is the pirate minus the hat and sword
and hook and eye patch.
too much going on and I forgot to
take photos.

catching up bubbles

teeth lollies were a success so was the snakes.

Shane organised some games.

a type of musical chairs but theses were islands

a type of duck duck goose
I forgot what they were saying.

Joshua waiting his turn.

Jo went to a lot of efforts to make a lovely cake.
A treasures chest.
But the poor cake did not survive the transportation,
Claude took a turn a bit toooooo fast.
