Father's day

Sunday 4 September

Father's day at Crossland

 Amelia was ready to play ball with her dad.

Jo was still at home feeding Joshua.

We were down the road at the park keeping a

good spot for our lunch.

After lunch (forgot to take photos) we

went for a walk, we moved all our stuff to let

another group use the table and Shane stayed to

look after our stuff and Amelia decided to

stay with her dad.

Then we went to Jo and Shane for coffee and cakes.

Jo had made a yummy pavlova and Ada

made an apple pie., yummy too.

We had a wonderful day.

Paul and Ada are always good company

Company, food and weather all perfect.

Claude got a phone call from Christopher

just as we got home. perfect day.



Trip to the dentist

Friday 2 September

We had book our six month check up

at the dentist a long time ago.

We decided not to change the date

and to take Amelia with us.

She was very aware of the scenery

as we drove there, and was excited to see

boats at the Spit Bridge.

And called out "harbour Bridge"

a while later

our dentist ask her if she was next for him to

check her teeth.

She said "No " and very softly "they are good"

We stayed in town for lunch before driving back home.

Amelia has been drawing for the past few days.

here is a sample of her work.

I think she is very clever ( My grand daughter, ahahaha)

It has been fun having Amelia those last few days,

but very tiring.

We always started the morning between 5 am and quarter to 6.

But when I went to get her as soon as I heard some noises,

she welcome me with a

"good morning grand ma"

What a better way to start the day.



Sand castle

Thursday 1 September

This morning we went to say hello

to my walking group friends.

I gave a lift to a neighbour who

was suppose to get a lift back

with someone else but I guess they

did not offer so she ask me for a lift back.

So I had to change my plans and do my shopping

then and there while she did hers.

But after her nap Amelia remember

that I had said that we were going

to the beach to built a sandcastle

oh she was so please with her castle.

(she had put it in the hole where she dug to fill the bucket)

We collected some shells and driftwood and decorated it.

She made a city of them.

 She had sand everywhere. she was flicking the

sand overhead. So to "de sand" her we went

to play ball at the play ground.

It took me a while to blow the ball up. no puff!

 the children came a join in the game.

Amelia had her favourite children. This little girl

was the favourite

then the ball had a swing.

It was getting cold and time to think of diner

as we eat at 6pm.

Amelia at Ocean World

Wednesday 31 August

At 9 am we were at the door of the aquarium.

But they only open at 9.30 am

The entrance to the tunnel to go to the

aquarium was made like you were walking

in water. Amelia stopped had a good look before

going in.

 And strange enough she did not

get scare of the shark but it took

her a while to climb on the edge of the wall.

I think that was too near (for a while)

 no way was she going to put her hands

in the touch pool.

small fish were swiming in it and hermit crabs.

At first she was walking far away from

the jaw and giving the poor mermaid

a fearful look.

and then she decided that it was not

scarry anymore and went to touch it.

in the children room she did some coloring 

and now she is climbing everywhere.

and pointing to the sharks.

"I want to see crabs!"

 Queenee

this ray is the size of a queen size bed.

All the fish look 20% smaller than what they

are really.

I think Amelia had a good time.

I had to leave has my 2 hours parking were up

And we had to go and meet my aqua friends for

lunch for Anne birthday.

Amelia was the centre of attention and

was given 3 pieces of the birthday cake

before we went to the playground to

burn off the sugar high.

 She made it right across the woobly

suspended stepping platforms

 weeeeeeeeeeee  fun fun

Look at the lovely clip.

Every day I had fun matching the clip to the

clothes that she chose. But the clip never

lasted till the evening.
