Claude 72nd birthday

I went to the mall this morning to buy some fresh oysters.

for Claude, Jo Mykaela and I.

I am doing a charcuterie plate for Shane, Amelia and Joshua.

Also, we are having:

fillet mignon with mushrooms

pomme noisette

green beans

Salad of greens, asparagus and Artichoke hearts

3 different cheeses and biscuit

and a French Far Breton

for desert.

We had a lovely time and a nice diner.

We went to Cremorne to the 

Orpheum, an old movie theatre.

Today is a film and lunch day.

We went to see

"Florence Foster Jenkins"

It was a funny, sad movie.

I enjoyed it very much

we had music while waiting for the movie

and during lunch (sandwiches)

Macquarie University

With the Forestville walkers group we went

to explore Macquarie University.

We visited 4 museums, the library

and art gallery.

We walked through the vast landscaped 

campus ground.

It was exam time so we had to be very quiet.

We went at the cafeteria for morning tea

and we had lunch in a park in the sunshine.

Friday 17 June

Since the Diggers club is closed

for renovation, most of us joined

another club but Rosina who

is living the furthest away

joined one nearer to her place.

So we don't see her as often.

So we all brought a plate and

went to her place for

afternoon tea

Thursday 16 June

Today we went with the Forestville walkers

on a hard bush walk.

There was some very steep sectioncs.

 lunch break

I couldn't take photos while we walked as the path

 was so narrow and steep, I couldn't stop without 

stopping everybody.

Vivid and Lang Lang concert

Wednesday 8 June

We parked the car in Manly and took the ferry to Sydney.

 Vivid is on, all the building are lighted

and light show are on a few

The sails of the opera was fantastic

 We went for a stroll in the botanical garden

after diner

 this tunnel was lighted with 

little flowers, beautiful

 on the sails of the opera

 Then we went to a concert by Lang Lang.

What a pianist, we were enchanted.

He gave us 4 encores

 We saw more of Vivid on our way back to the ferry

I was outside, on the deck of the ferry with my 

camera ready to take nice photos of the opera 

as the ferry pass by.

11pm the ferry departed.....11pm Vivid is switched off
