Car get a ding

Friday 10 July

this morning when we left to go and help Shane 

with the pool deck, Claude turned the wheels of

the car a tiny bit toooooooooo much and hit the pole.

Wednesday 8 July

Amelia has been looking in the game cupboard.

We already played Dada, O and X .

She found a metal box: World smallest 1000 pieces puzzle.

And yes she wanted to do it.

The bag inside was still sealed.

I must have decided not to do it, but she did ....

I have very small hand.

and we had some music too

Claude birthday

Tuesday 30 June

Claude is 71 today

I gave him breakfast in bed and then 

Amelia gave him our presents.

(we took Amelia home yesterday for her to make Claude cake)

We play a game of  DADA

while we wait for the day to warm up

We went to a park in Balgowlah 

Claude and Amelia played again tennis.

and then to the play equipment.

In the afternoon we finished up Claude cake

a biscoten torte

Amelia spread the icing which is wipped cream

Shane , Jo ans Joshua arrived later

to have the celebration dinner.

Minding the children

Monday 29 June

We were up early to be in Honrsby before 9am.

Jo has work to do.

Amelia wanted to show me the antics of Oscar 

when he sees Amelia toy dog. Very funny.

We waited for the day to warm up a bit before going

 to Ku Ring Gai chase for a pic nic and a play.

Amelia is explaining the way to Claude

"she has been there before!!"

 I took Joshua to the playground. and Claude and Amelia 

played tennis using the park sign as a net.

doing a good job of peeling his manderine.

After lunch the children went for a play on their scooter

We made our way to the cafe for ice cream

and coffee.

Port Douglas holidays: Day 11

Friday 12 June

last day. Departing day

We went to sun bake by the pool before 

the shuttle bus came to pick us up.

We had a last look around.

Port Douglas holidays: day 10

Thursday 11 June

Our last full day of holidays 

After breakfast we brought back the car and 

went to look for a restaurant for tonight.

Lucky we had our raincoat it kept on raining

with sunny break and it is very warm.

blue sky!!! we just had a shower...

I had planned to spend my last day relaxing

by the pool... I spent the day going there 

and quickly going back to our flat

which is not far (the arch near the 2 umbrellas)

It was not what I had planed.

Claude went for walks.

Today was the rainiest day.

We were going to a nice restaurant in town

but we will have been too wet going there.

So we went to the nearest restaurant 

a Chinese restaurant (not Claude favorite)

yum yum I had a seafood and vegetable 

basket. The basket was made of grated 

potato and deep fry.

It was delicious.

and it did not rain going there and back
