Port Douglas Day three

Thursday 4 June 2015

Our 50 th Anniversary

We went on a river cruise aboard a
make believe paddle boat.

Getting aboard, we got a glass of champagne

our first crocodile

We passed in front of the
Tin Shed
Where we will be having dinner tonight

Back at the resort to relax by the pool.

The Tin Shed is a pub who serve very good food.
But to get a table you have to be early.
And have a drink watching the sun set.

Claude is very proud of himself.
He was on the look out to see when you could put in
your order and got number 1
By then we had a very good table.

We saw the Lady Douglas come home from her sunset cruise

Shane and Jo new car

Saturday 27 June

We went to see Mykaela in the Gang show.
Shane bought us some tickets for Claude's birthday.
(sorry no photos)

After the show, Shane dropped us at our car and Paul Jeannette
and Ada left and we went to the pup for a drink
and end up having an early dinner.
Shane had to go back to the evening
show, he is an usher.

Gang show is a scouting even
so Amelia had to wear her
joey uniform, very cute.

Woman in gold

Wednesday 24 June

We went to Cremorne to the Orpheum to see
Woman in gold.

The outing was organised by the National Senior.
Claude came too and complained that it was
"Only old people"
What did he expect?
He is no spring chicken either, He is going
to be 71y in 5 days time.

The movie was really good.
The deal was: movie, sandwiches and coffee
for $13.
Unlikely for us they run out of sandwiches
and we had to wait awhile for them
to get some more and we had a friend (neighbour)
who spent the whole time complaining.
and we gave her a lift home and she
kept at it ............
