Cleaning the pergola

Sunday1 December

The roof of our pergola opens and closes
But even open it still get very dirty.
We are on the flight path of the sugar bats.
Claude and I cleaned it with Shane's electric water jet.
It did a very good job.

Lunch at Palm Beach

Friday 30 November

We went to Hornby to drop
the advent calendar for the kids
for tomorrow.
And pick up Shane's
water pressure cleaning tool.

Jo was not home but had left us
a note with directions to the
park were she was with the
children and her friends.

We went to see them....

AND I FORGOT TO TAKE SOME PHOTOS.

We had lunch at the Boat Shed in Palm beach.
A nice big garden salad and a glass of wine
to celebrate Claude first day of his holidays.

After lunch we went for a long walk to the end of the beach

And we walk back on the ocean side

Ride to the Armory and picnic

Sunday 25 November

It is a very hot day.

The last few week we have been going
to concerts and restaurants.
So today a bike ride was planned.
I had packed up a picnic which we ate
at the Armory under a shady tree
We spent 1 hour there resting,
but we had to ride back to the car parked
in the bi centennial park.

We had a lovely day, did not go fast,
just a relaxing day in the fresh (hot) air.

Amelia is dacing

I have not done a blog for sooooooooooo long
A lot has been happening.

Amelia had her first concert
But Claude and I did not go.
The ticket were too pricey
for the couple of minutes
she was on stage.

Here are few photos of Jo's

Trying on the make up.
She has huge eye like her daddy.
Christopher used to call Shane
"googly eyes"
(Oh brother love)
Trying on the costume
here is Pebble

with her little friends
waiting in the wing to go on stage.

the 2 last photos were taken on stage
by a photographer.
I copied them with difficulty from
the website.

Mykaela dressed for her school play.

I went to see her but was too far away to take photos

Glebe Fair

Sunday 18 November

Claude has been asking me to planned our week end.
So far we went to quite a few fair.
But I think this is it.
It was fun but a bit the same.

We arrived in Glebe just in time for lunch.
We went to a Mexican beer garden.

lots of stalls, I bought a dress in one and a top in another.
I was going to buy a hat but the guy was serving
everybody around me but not me. So I left. No hat.

there was 3 stages.
we stopped and listen a few time.

some young men were running jumping over people
it was a bit scary to watch
and more people down
 when the jumping crowd went
the dancers arrived

We went to have a look around.

We spotted our next lunch destination.

Nice day, very hot but windy.
Next week Claude is choosing the outing

Newtown Festival

Sunday 11 November

My sister Alice birthday

We went to Newtown for their festival.

There was a HUGE market, so many
things to see and buy.
Lot of food stand too.
A huge children area with all different
rides and activities.
And 3 stages with live music.

We saw this Huge car in the street of Newtown

 The festival in
Camperdown memorial rest park.
(yes next to the cemetery)

We sat on the grass eating our lunch
some Turkish stuff, nice.
The music was nice but we got too hot.
so we moved to the next stage under the shade cloth.
this was at the second stage
The kids were very good
It say on the program: Expect the unexpeced
A brilliant line of local acts.
something that I have never seen before
(I don't go out much.)
a little trailer with and ATM machine.
The queue was very long, this is what made
me look what they were queuing for.

3rd stage

People everywhere you turn to.
Every one was having a good time.
The park was heavily patrol, you were not allowed
alcohol in but they were selling some.
The bags were search at the entrances.
Also there was a ban on the sale of
bottle water, they had "water refill stations".
And for once I did not take a picnic so
I was quite thirsty by the time I found something
to my liking.
