Walker Christmas breakfast

Thursday 22 December

Walkers Christmas breakfast

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning I go
with a group walking all over the shopping mall.
We start at 7.30 am to 8.30 am.
Then we have coffee before hitting the shops

I did not take photos with the food, I was too busy
eating my poached eggs, bacon, tomato and toast
yum yum!
And suddenly the rain came as the table were
cleared away

I can't help thinking of Jo and Shane and the kids
camping. I hope they did not get this torrential rain

Aqua Christmas lunch 2011

Tuesday 20 December

Ounce again we are having our
Christmas lunch at Tricia.
Her husband is away on their farm.
We all brought a plate.
I had to make a quiche for 12 people.

this is the only 2 good photos that I took
all the rest is blurred
Rhian and Tricia

Umina

Sunday 18 December

Shane and Jo and the 3 kids are gone
camping at Umina for a week.
We went to visit them.
Shane met us outside the park on his bike with
Joshua in the trailer.
We also had our bikes, so we all rode to the
swimming pool to collect Jo and the girls.

Amelia wanted to ride with Joshua back to the tent

Claude and Shane are fixing Mykaela's bike.
And Amelia kept on saying:"I want to help"
At home she has a plastic tool kit, she love it.
always want to fix something.
Then we all rode our bike to Ettalong.

 such a happy, contented baby
 Amelia being mother (poor Josh)

We all had a lovely lunch.
Us girls some nice prawns Jo bought in Ettalong.
Lucky for Claude and Shane I made a
weigh watchers chicken pasta salad

In the afternoon we went for a walk.
Amelia wanted to show me the pillow.
I never saw anything like it a huge bouncing pillow
Jo, Amelia and Shane went on it
even Shane could bounce high
and I went to join in the fun
OOOOOOH my knees hurt
I had enough...I want to get out but I kept on bouncing

and then we went to the beach.
Shane had a swim
Mykaela joined us, she had been
 bicycling with a friend

such a good baby

North head

Saturday 17 December

We were driving to Fairlight for a walk
along the sea shore.
Going down Beacon hill road we saw
the big sailing ship with its sails on
coming back to the harbour.
So we drove to North head and were just
in time to see it coming through the heads

But to come into the harbour they folded the sails
us enjoying a bit of sunshine

Our tree

Thursday 15 December

This year we are late putting our tree up.
So I got it out of the attic.

We bought that tree in 1969 the
first Christmas in our new home.
Every year it loose some of its needles.
some parts are a bit bare
but it is

OUR TREE

The family is getting bigger.
We used to have only 4 stockings

yes....our tree
our front door
back (side) door

I did not decorate the tree as I cannot put the
electric light.
(well I can really but this force grouchy to participate)

Friday 16 December

This morning we drove all the way to
Castle hill to get Christopher gift card from
a camping place.
Coming back we went for lunch but the place
Claude had chosen was very cold and we
did not stay so we drove back
and decided to stop at the Terry hill Tavern.
They have a nice tree
Back home and time to finish the tree
Claude putting the electric lights

and here it is now finished

Thursday 22 December
Yesterday I wrapped up the presents
There is not one for me yet.
This afternoon we went to the shops
and could not find a parking spot.
We will go again tomorrow 9am

Quillers lunch

Tuesday 13 December

Again this year the quillers
are having lunch at Club Totem.

Coral, Dorothy and Elaine J
The big fish that Elaine is eating is a grilled
lemon sole I had the same. I thought is was the
healthy choice but it came with a small salad
and a bowl of chips... yep I ate them all

 Jessica, Pat and Anne

Carole  and Alice

Elaine S Jessica and Pat
Elaine J, Elaine M and Joan
Joan, Val and Marie
Dorothy Elaine J and Elaine M
We had a lovely lunch. At the end we presented
our tutor, Elaine M with a gift certificate
to thank her for her help and  there she was thanking
us for having been there when her husband
passed away.
These women are terrific friends, some of them are in their 80.
Jessica is 83, Anne is almost blind and Carol just had cancer
but they are chatty and friendly and very helpful.
I would not miss my quilling class for anything going to

Santa came early

Tuesday 13 December

I came home from my morning walk to
discover that having been such a good
girl, Santa came early

a lovely big black box, looking a bit like leather,
a gift tag but no name....

Oh goodies
food, glorious food.
Claude favorite gift: consumables.

We thought it was from T & T
(Tina and Topher)

I send e mails and you won't believe it
but Shane said it was from him, but
Jo did not let him get away with it.

Thanks T & T
