Anzac Day

A very wet day, but not cold.

We put on our raincoats and went

to Fairlight for a walk along

the sea shore.

We were very lucky it did not rain much.

Just few little showers.

But it started to pour when

we got back to the car.

Tuesday 26 April

Very wet day.

This morning I went to aqua

While Claude worked a few hours.

After lunch to went to the movie

at the old Cremorne  cinema.

"The Orpheum"

a 1930 art deco picture palace

We were in the main room.

Very beautiful  (the whole place is lovely)

A man was playing an old organ on stage.

When he finished the floor

opened and the organ went down

with the man bowing to us.

I took some photos with my phone

but they were not good.

We saw a French movie

"Potiche"

with Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu.

A witty comedy

Easter 2011

Sunday 24 April

Easter

We were at 10 am at Shane and Jo's

place to hide our eggs for the

children eggs hunt before

Mykaela had to go to her dad.

 The girls are very nice outfit from India.

Shane bought it for them on his last trip.

 Mykaela spied some eggs

 Amelia did very well

Then Mykaela played her flute....Amelia too

 Me making fun of the Japanese tourists yesterday

on Manly beach.

I wonder what significance doing this with

their means?????

Then dressing up and dancing

Grand dad joined in too

I still have to learn  lot about this

camera, I just like to point and shout.

Claude is much better.

But there is hope, Jo told me that

I was the same when I first got my old camera.

Central coast

Friday 22 April

Good  Friday

It turned out to be a very nice day.

We packed up a picnic and drove to

the central coast.

We went to Avoca beach but it was

very crowded and no parking spot.

So we went on to Copacabana.

We went to relax on the beach

and had our lunch.

The we drove back to Avoca beach.

some people were jumping from

the rock.

From there we went to Terrigal.

They have done a lot of work

in the park. Very nice walkways.

I am just trying my new camera.

Still not happy.

On top of my camera problem I am having

blogging problem for the past week.

As I understand it, Google blogger

stop publishing after updating to

Microsoft Internet explorer 9

for vista.

I had to use another copy of the google blogger

called blogger in draft.

So now I have to learn that too.

I had a very stressful afternoon.

Oh boy I don't like changes.

New camera

Thursday 21 April

We went to a camera shop to have my camera

look after.

Not good news.

The lens mechanism is broken.

It will be too expensive to have it fix

so we bought a new camera and I have

to re learn everything.

I am not happy.

We went to Manly to test it.....



Painting Easter eggs

Wednesday 20 April

This morning I got Amelia up as soon as she was awake to

let Mykaela sleep in a bit longueur.

We went to a park with a tall climbing frame

for Mykaela and there is also 4 different

types of slides.

One was bumpy and Mykaela was sliding lying down.

It looked very strange to see her body

sliding and undulating.

Amelia had fun too sliding between the

legs of her sister and

having Mykaela between her legs.

But I could not make my camera to work.

When I got home Claude managed to

make it work for a short time

and I was able to take 4 photos

before it died.

 They are painting plaster Easter eggs

Mykaela had her I pod on.

She was listening to songs and time to time

was bursting into song.

Amelia was not eating.

She was more interested in watching the birds.

So I dragged her high chair near them.

 Sunday 17 April

Today we went for a walk along

South Head

 some nice carvings

Where we were last Friday 15 April

 Yes, there is a nudists beach.

You can see them from the path.

They were only old fat men, not worth watching.
