The ponds walk

Thursday 31 March 2016

We met at chatswood station with 22 other
walker from the Forestville group.

We caught the train to Epping .
We walked to Carlingford Memorial park
at Mobbs hill for morning tea.
We strolled on to the start of the
Ponds walk.

This walk is mainly bush tracks, which run alongside
the Pond s Creek and Subiaco Creek through
the Dundas valley.
Subiaco creek eventually drains into the
Parramatta river.

We had lunch at Upjohn park, Dundas.

The walk finished at Victoria road Rydalmere where we caught
the bus to Parramatta station.
Most of the walkers caught the fast train to Chatswood,
but 9 of us decided to go back by the
River cat from Parramatta warf to Sydney.

Then Claude and I took the ferry to Manly.

It was a long day, sometime I think we spend
more time on public transport then walking.
