Diggers last HOORAY

Thursday 24 September 2015

Our gym at the club is closing down
for a few years. They are going to demolish
it and construct a new one.
The gym is the first to go, then restaurants, cinema etc.
and they planned on building accommodations too.
It is a huge project.

So we are all a bit sad. We have gone
there for years.

We are having a last Hooray.

Quarantine Station

Sunday 20 September 2015

The quarantine station is having a
Community day. It's an open free day
with a lot of exhibitions and stalls.
It is raining but just light showers.
We put our raincoats and went.

We have been there a few time and
we even had an overnight stay, but
we never been to the museum storage room.
There was a guided tour with the Curator.
So we went and felt old.....

we remembered some of the stuff (and even have some)

the Curator

The restaurant did not have light meal and
the stand had junk food so we went
a bit further on Manly North Head
and went to Bellavista.
But the rain had settle in on the harbour
and we did not have a good view.

digging and mulching

September

We are putting bark all over our
garden bed.
The front garden near the bird bath
is a real mess.
The idea was to have mango grass
growing between the paving.
BUT the lawn (couch) who
did not want to grow when it was
a lawn is now growing and
making a pest of itself.

I took some photos for Claude
to remember the placement
of the stones.
He will have to lift them and
cover the ground with the bark mulch.
