Werakata Park

Friday 27 June

I made some sandwiches and we went for a drive
past Cessnock to the Werakata Nationnal Park.

On a brochure Claude had seen some bike riding trail.

the picnic ground

after lunch we went to look for the bike trail.....
To discover that it was full of jumps, high ones.
It was for mountains bikes, not for us who are
not too stable on 2 wheels.

We did not find the bush walk either.
so we packed up.

Things we saw on our way

We stopped at Wollombi and had a beer at the
tavern with all the bikies.

rustic seating

a beautiful bird came to visit us.
We have never seen one like it.

My friend Margaret identified it for us
"Blue-faced honeyeater"

really lovely
