Hand gliders

Sunday 27 July

Shane, Jo and the children left early.
Shane is leaving for 3 weeks in China
tomorrow morning and he still had to do some
washing before packing up.

It was nice and sunny so we went
for a walk at Long Reef.
There was a lot of hand gliders.
I did not have my camera so
I took a couple of photos
with my small phone.

Minding the children: Sunday

Sunday 27 July

the children were awake at 6am.
Claude got up to make the coffee.
Amelia came to my bed and promptly fell
back asleep, Joshua stay in his bed
and went back to sleep.
I did not know what was going up.
Claude came with the coffee,
he could not come into the bed as
Amelia was asleep and I did not want
to move her, He went back downstairs

Finely Amelia is up, but Joshua is sleeping on
Amelia is wearing the dressing gown
grand dadad chose for her
few year ago, the arms are starting to get short.
I remember that shopping day:
It had to be pretty, girlie and no bright colours.

Claude and Amelia left to go to Manly to the park
and to the beach.
I stayed home as Joshua is still sleeping.
He woke up at 10 to 10 am.

I was looking in a drawer full of children clothing.
I knitted this jumper  for Shane.
Joshua try it on and did not want to remove it.

I had planned to do this with Amelia
but she and grand dad have disapeared
Vegemite and cheese scrolls
Joshua spread the vegemite (I help to smooth it thinNER)

He sprinkle all the grated cheese,
and I roll it up, cut it, Joshua put them
on the baking tray

They are back.
Getting rid of the sand.

Shane and Jo arrived a short ime after
for lunch.
They had breakfast near DY beach
and then a stoll on the beach.

Shane is cutting our wood.
all the wood we had left are too
big for our coper fireplace.

Shane got the right tool for it.
A birthday present.

Minding the grand children: Saturday

Saturday 26 July

Around lunch time, Shane and Jo dropped the kids
for a sleep over.
Shane and Jo are going for a lunch at a friend for
Christmas in July,
And tonight they are going to trivia.

After lunch we play some games.
Amelia made that one up, the rule keep on changing...

Joshua having a rest while Amelia explained
to grand dadad

keeping the score
We had a big discussion
about one hundred and hundred,
she was not happy with my
explanation that they are written the same

The sky was covered with big clouds but
we risked it and went to the park.

and then to the oval to play ball.
somehow the children end up very muddy.

when we got home they went straight
to the bath

after a lot of arguments, she let me put her hair up.

While Christopher and Tina were here

I founded it relaxing.

the last Asco we had lasted 19 years so the
salesman told Claude that he won't have to buy
another dishwasher !!!

transport on the island

Most of the people on the island owned a golf cart
last time we came they were using wheelborrows
to carry their shopping from the ferry to their home,
some still do. There is few cars, old bomb.

Scotland Island

Wednesday 23 July

Christopher dream was to buy a house on
Scotland Island. And he is still talking
about it. So we went to have a look at
the houses for sale.

It was a lovely cool sunny day.
As we are in the Pittwater shire we have to pay
for the parking. So we parked a bit further away
where it was free and walk to the ferry.

on our way we saw these big wave of army crabs

One of the ferry was called
Amelia K
So I told the skipper that it was my
grand daughter's name

but we took the other ferry to go to the island
and came back on the Amelia K

arrived

this is the pre-school, it is owned by KU children Services
which I worked for. I went to it a couple of time for
in service.

We had our picnic in the park.
There is no shops, no cafe on the island

you have to be fit to live there

at the landing to take the ferry on the island
