Trip to Shoalhaven

Tuesday 30 December

Jo is going camping at Culburra beach.
Having nothing to do (more like..not felling to do anything)
We decided to go and have a look.

It is very badly indicated and not having
a GPS we missed the turn and end up in Huskisson.
We like Huskisson and have been there a couple of time.

We decided to have a walk around and have lunch

then Claude went to the tourist bureau to get a map
and directions

it was very windy

the sign said "lighthouse" I think part of it is missing...
But the flies, oh boy they were bad.

on our way home we stopped at Kangaroo valley

Christmas decorations made out of
banksia nut
Very beautiful but pricey

leaving kangaroo valley our next stop
is dinner at Bowral at the Ecctera restaurant.
It has been open only one month by young men.
The food was great.

Walking around Narrabeen lake

Sunday 28 December

Very grey day
We decided to go for a walk around
the lake but this time starting at the other end.

We started a middle creek
and walk to the H2O cafe for lunch

look at relics of time ago

H2O cafe

our view

on the way back we spotted black swans

The track doing the whole circuit was suppose to be
finished at the end of this year...
the new date is ""end of February""
We went to see the work the are doing, the bridge
is in place but there still a lot to do!!!

I woke up early but Amelia was already watching TV.
She had been upstairs to tell her mum that Santa had come.

Santa has been very generous

A pizza oven

Jo got this little stocking filler
"melting monster"
It was a hit with both children

they all had Lego
maybe I should have got some for Claude!!

Jo is preparing the ham for lunch

Claude blowing some pool toy

Amelia is using for the first time snorkeling flippers, tube and mask.

3 generations playing with Lego

Oscar has the good life
Asleep like a baby in my arms.

We spent a very relaxing day.
The children tried all their toys
and enjoyed themselves.
