New Year Eve

NEW YEAR EVE

Monday 31 December

It was a very hot day.
Claude had decided to go and have lunch at
Saint Albans

The Settlers Arms.
The pub where we had a ploughman lunch

We found a nice spot under a shady tree.
We had only 1 glass of wine but we felt drunk.
We had to drink a bottle of water and had a strong coffee.
It must be because of the heat.

We came by the Saint Albans ferry but gone back
by the Wiseman ferry

3 birds on 3 poles
(well there was 4 of each but the other one was too far)

When we got home, we noticed that this
plant Claude is putting in the ground was
cut. Our neighbour  had cut his lawn and
being helpful trim our bit of footpath lawn
near his place (we do it too)
He must have thought it was a weed!!!

By 6pm we were at a vantage spot to see
the 9pm firework in Manly
The other spot we had was too windy.

We had a very good spot

I made some boxed dinner of antipasto

and we had the Champagne

We saw the barge arrive, oh what a good spot !!!

getting cold

Back home to wait for 12 o'clock
