New bike bag

Sunday 26 February

A long time ago....
Christopher asked Shane to
get us some little bike bags to
go under our bike seat.
But having such short legs
my seat is right down and the bag
did not fit. So we returned it.
And ever since I have been
looking for a replacement.
Claude was going to buy me
a basket.....
Last week end we found what
I have been looking for.
A bag which go at the front.
You can remove it and use it
as a handbag/shoulder bag.

the bag is on the ground.
Today we went bicycling around
the lake and had a picnic
at the sailing club.
stopping for a drink on the other side.
Now we can see my bag at the front
of my bike and Claude's one under
his bike seat.

Mosman Rower Restaurant

Friday 24 February

A busy day: first we had both to go
to the hairdresser. Claude for a cut
and me for a trim and colour touch up.

Me going to the hairdresser

 me after

I had packed up a picnic this morning
before leaving and we went to eat it
at North Head.
It was such a lovely day that we made some
different plans for our evening.
We are going to a concert at the opera house.
We decided to drive to Mosman Bay and
look at the ferry timetable and go across
to the Mosman Rowers club to see at
what time they serve diner. While there
we noticed that downstairs the club was
a nice restaurant, so we booked there
for 6pm, our ferry for the city is at 7.06pm.
sharing a dessert, chocolate mousse.

view of the restaurant from the ferry terminal.
We can mostly see the club, the restaurant is
at the bottom.

the ferry is arriving in the City
the Friday night crowd
the ceiling of the concert hall
After the concert we has about 1 hour to wait for
the next ferry, so we went for a walk and
discovered this statue (earphones), made of
moove cartons. I wish I had helped
drinking them, yummy.

the opera as we passed by in the ferry.
We were sitting outside in the front.
(Going there we sat inside.)

We had a lovely day, and night.
Usually when we go to a concert we
parked at the opera, but today being
such a lovely day we try something
a bit different.
The concert was supposed to finish
at 9.45pm and we had a ferry at 10.15pm
but the concert only finished at 10pm so
we missed our ferry. But not to worry the
night is beautiful and we went for a nice
walk. Only it made a late night for us seniors.

Northern Beaches music festival

Northern Beaches Music Festival
at theTramshed and Berry Reserve.

Saturday 18 February

Well the date was in my diary...
After lunch we headed to Narrabeen.
At first we saw only the market, it was
strange as I did not think it was its day.
It was not as big as usual, but we had a look
around. Did not buy anything, the nice bread
stand was not there also no fruits and vegies.

We went to the tent to listen to the music
but did not go in: they wanted $40 PP.
boy, that was a tat bit too much.
When the music was not going on in the
big tent, some musician were playing
in a stand outside, that was free, lot of
people like us were enjoying it. We only
stayed for 3 songs and went for a walk
around the lake.

His was singing some of his composition.
I enjoyed it.

Safe in our garden.....

Friday 17 February

We sent the day gardening.
Well I help Claude after cooking
some macaroon. Claude has been
bugging me about "macaroon"
so I made some. they did not look
as good as the one one the picture.
But Claude ate them.

By the afternoon we were tired and
the green bin was full, so we called it
a day and relax on our deck looking
at the nice garden.
Claude got up from his chair and saw
just behind him a snake climbing the tree.

It is very hard to see, if it had not
moved we would not have noticed it.
On Saturday morning at the news
we heard that a lot of snake are
on the move in the Sydney regions
because of the rain, and that a lot get
inside houses.......

eating a banana after his weet bix.
and a rusk

Hello grand ma
I think our little man has to go and have
a nap. I don't know Joshua timetable
and I did not ask Jo as she does not know
that Shane has organised a lunch with
her friend Megan. If I had ask too many
question I might have let the cat out of
the bag. so I am playing it by ear.

He has a gorgeous smile
He likes knocking over the blocks
and having a good chew on them.
Look at that smile.......
got you....

Jo came home around 2.30pm with a big
bunch of flowers. Shane really did spoiled her.

After a while we went to pick Amelia up
from kindy to go to dancing lesson.
Jo changed her at kindy.

Australian Open of surfing day two

Sunday 12 February

This morning was very sunny with rain
predicted this afternoon. It is now 4 pm
and we are home listening to the thunder.
The sky is very black.

Nikki Van Dyke taking a wave.

10 past 4 pm and it is raining. We made it home
and dry. We were lucky as we were parked
far away.
This boat was patrolling to keep the
free surfers out of the competition area.

Not many seats left in the stands.

Nikki Van Dyke in white, won this
round, she made it to the next round.

For lunch we walked to the Pantry
on Manly beach. We did not have
a reservation but they let us eat in
the bar. We only had a little bench
but a beautiful view.
We did not have a Caesar salad.
I had what look like a salad Nicoise
with tuna, olive, hard boiled egg etc..
but their anchovies were "white anchovies"
they tasted a bit like pickled mackerel.
Claude salad had rocket, pear, prosciutto,
Parmesan toasted pine nuts etc....
All very nice with a glass of wine.
