School for Senior Christmas lunch

Tuesday 6 December

Today is the "school for senior Christmas lunch"

I go every Tuesday morning to the school
to learn quilling.
We make beautiful cards.
Well mine are not so good most of the time
but I enjoy making them.
I am the youngest in the group
and I have a lot of fun.
Every week I am looking forward to going there.

Not all our group came to the lunch.
we are the biggest group at he school.
Very often I don't even talk to the people
at the other tables so I don't know them
that well
The school is in the church hall.
This young man, just 2 months ago became
a new minister. He read us a Christmas story
The major gave a speech
and then it was food:
vegetarian quiche or chicken
potato salad, garden salad and bread
Christmas pudding with custard.
All very yummy.
I went for second....
the old people don't eat much
After lunch 2 school choirs came to sing for us
They sang beautifully
they have sang at the opera
And we finish off with the door price.
And Ann won $40, she was very happy.
Her daughter is on TV on SBS 2 she is a chef
