First ride over the new bridge

Friday 7 October

I packed a picnic and we took the bikes to
Narrabeen Lake.
It is the first time we used the bikes since
having the new car.

In August we walked that way, we had to climb
over some fences. The bridge was not done.
We stopped for our picnic. before riding our
bike to Narrabeen beach.

On the way we noticed a new sign.
We better stay on the bike.

The pelican marking the "pelican path"
along the lagoon on our way to the beach.

On our way back we stopped for a coffee and
watched the dredging of the lagoon.
Around 40,000 cubic metres of sand is being
moved from the entrance of Narrabeen lagoon.
They are using the sand to replenish
Collaroy-Narrabeen beach.

We are very happy with our decision to go biking.
The sky was very black when we left home and
we are coming back with the sunshine.
