Day two

Thursday 29 April
8am so us at the mall, I usually walk there
on Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30am
We went to the play ground, no other children

Met with the walkers for coffee.
Everybody loved seeing Amelia.
She was a bit quiet and was more happy
when they left her alone.

had to have a drink too

and got up to do a bit of cleaning.
she was using her wet one to
wipe every single stool and chair.
The cleaning lady doing the tables thought
it was incredible that such a young child
was doing this.
Then we went to do the weekly
shopping.
she is checking the shopping list.
she had dropped the shopping list and
carry on with the box of washing powder.
The check out girl look at all the scribbles
on it and laugh.
Back home, nap, lunch
a bit of play on the deck.

I think that was telling me
that she needed a hat.

Then we went to Narrabeen.

feed bread to the birds.

and went to explore a new play ground.

end of a very busy day!

and still cheeky

Day one

Wednesday 28 April
Amelia woke up early this morning
but was quite happy playing in her cot
(or so I thought)
So I went and prepared the breakfast
before getting her up.
When she is up she want to be fed NOW.
Breakfast ready, I went to get her:
She was almost naked!

She had removed her PJ and was trying to
reach her slippers.
Luckily she did not try to remove her nappy
or it could have been a disaster.
Watching the birds eat the left over of her breakfast

Today we were supposed to explore a new park,
but I did not find it and we drove to DY, so
we went to Michaela park again.

This week I am having Amelia for
3 days.
This is day one.
Amelia only woke once during the night
lets hope she is better tonight!

Anzac long week end

Monday 26 April
Beautiful day but a bit crisp.
Good weather for walking.
We park at the top of Long Reef and walk
to Dee Why for the "Warringah Food and Wine fair"
Long Reef golf course.
I wonder how they could play, it was soooooo
windy.
We walk around the fair.
You had to get tickets for the wine:
3 tickets for $5 but you had to buy a
plastic glass for $5 also.
We did not see any thing we wanted to try
so we went to the Brazilian restaurant
" Coco Mar"
We both had one of their salad:
Salada de grao de bico.
(chickpeas, broccoli, pumpkin,sundried tomato,
fresh tomato, red onion, with a balsamic dressing)
I couldn't guess what herbs they put in it
but it was very nice (filling)
Then we walk back across the road to the fair
but decide to go and investigate the crowd on the rocks.

It was the Beachley surf classic,
the finals.
We saw Stephanie Gilmore
and Sally Fitzgibbons
They were near the rocks

Claude standing back not to get wet.

Sally was winning but Steph got another wave
and beat her in the last minutes.

Lynne Beachley was there to
give the trophies and the man next
to her to give the cheque of US$ 20 000
to the winner

Sally, 19y was saying that she has enough
of always coming second.
Poor girl she was winning for so long to be
beaten right at the end.
Stephanie Gilmore, 22y
world champion for the 3rd time.
Both girls are Australian.

Sally, Lynne and Stephanie.
We had a very good day, watching the surfing
for the first time for us. We thought that the
finals was yesterday so it was ans added bonus to our day.
Then we had to walk all the way back to Long Reef.

Mt Wilson

Saturday 24 April
Anzac day long week end
Beautiful day 27 degrees
I packed up a nice lunch to have a pic nic
We are at Mt Wilson in the Blue mountains
to look at the colourful trees.
We went for an advertised walk
about a giant tree....
When we arrived we found out that
the tree was striked by lightening
in 2008 and was now dead!

Mt Wilson main road.

one street had gate with leaves patterns
( click on picture to see better)

The first time we went to Mt Wilson
was when Shane broke his arm.
The boys fund it fun to play in
the dead leaves, so did I.
souvenirs of my youth in France.

lots of gardens were open to the public.

When we were having our lunch, lots of
people started to arrived.
By the time we came back from the giant tree
and tree ferns walk, they were putting up tents.
We hadn't realised that we were in a camping ground.
Boy! they must have froze at night fall.
