Camera forgotten

For the past couple of Sundays I have forgotten to take my camera with me on our week end excursions.
So I did not blog BUT as my memory is not very good so I have to write it down.

Last Sunday in June we went to La Perouse. There, a local Aboriginal, from the Bidjigal tribe, Vic Simms was giving a talk about the life of the Aboriginal people around Botany Bay.
Interesting but a bit too political for my taste.
He also told us that it was not the British who brought small pox to Australia but the French reverent from La Perouse boat.....

Never mind.

We went to a posh restaurant for lunch "Danny". yes we had a chicken Caesar salad. The Sunday cover charges was almost as much as our salad. I wonder about the bill of all the diners around us who were having 3 courses meal!

1st Sunday in July.
We went for a pic nic in Ku-Ring-Gai Chase. I made some lovely sandwiches with liver pate, gherkin and lettuce.
We went for a walk in the sun around the bay. There was a lot of fishermen. We did not see any catching a fish. A fisherman' hook was caught in a rock and he was pulling and pulling on his rod and the rod was bending with the line straight. A passing car stopped, the driver came out to see. He thought that the fisherman had caught a big fish. The driver said to the fisherman" you had us going there for a while". Oh well.
We did not go for a bush walk it was too cold in the shade.
Then we went to another walk in Mona Vale. There is a newish park, so we went to investigate. Flying fox park I think it is called.
There is a cafe and yes there is chicken Caesar salad on the menu. So we have marked this venue for the next sunny Friday. Most of the sitting is outside.
There is a nice children play ground with a flying fox, but I did not notice any BBQ, strange, I must have missed them.
