Saturday little walk

We walk from the sailing club,
along Narrabeen lake,
across Pittwater road and on the other side
until the path end.
Some houses are just on the edge of the lake,
Claude think the council should do a board walk
to allow the public access around the lake.
lots of people canoeing

some were fishing too

Few years ago when this block of flats
was being built,
We look into buying a rental property
but all the good flats were sold
the only one left
were overlooking the car park
of the Woolworth.

Flying fox cafe

Today was a beautiful sunny day.
We spent most of the morning doing the house cleaning.
I use to do it on Wednesday but now I am busy with Amelia.
We had few errants to do. So we decided to go and have
lunch at the "Flying fox" cafe.
We had a table in the sun.
The chicken Caesar salad was very nice.
But they are not licenced.
So it was water with or meal.

View from our table.
At another table was 8 mothers and babies.
One baby remind me of Amelia, but she was crawling all over the place.
So I asked the mother how old she was.
She is 10 months old.
She is older than Amelia.
She was eating all the rubbish she found in the grass
and was taking off the hat of another little girl.
It was very funny to watch.
Another baby a little boy kept on crawling under all the tables and playing in the dirt there.
All 8 babies were everywhere.

Oh Amelia

Amelia was opening her mouth for me to see her teeth but she did not do it in front of the camera. She is more interested with the camera strap.

Then she f...

then she pushed and pushed.

Her timing was all wrong. the last couple of weeks she did it as Jo walk in.

Poor grand' ma 2 today

It was suppose to be "going ballistic"

MY previous post went before I could write something under the photos.

1st photo: Amelia had to get her toys from the bag. Today I did not empty it on her mat.

2nd photo: I heard a very satisfied noise. Amelia had reach the bag of goodies.

3rd and 4th photos: I was going to eat a mandarin while feeding Amelia her lunch. She has a piece of toast in one hand and time to time (often) she open her mouth for me to feed her.
But when she saw the mandarin she really went ballistic. I said to Claude that I was going to try her on and to get the camera, but he couldn't as he was eating an orange and had juices on his hand. So I went to get it and Amelia cried, until I came back.
I gave her a segment she sucked on it but after that I cut every segment in 3 pieces. Boy she love her fruit.
Then she had some banana too

Walk around Long Reef golf Course

We parked the car at Colloroy Basin.
We did not walk last week.
Claude had a pain in his leg and we thought it was DVT again.
So we play it safe and no walking.
But it is not. So back to walking.
Next month we are doing the city to surf.
Yes I know last year and the year before I said it was the last year.
But if I can still do it WHY NOT?
Claude in the Aquatic Reserve.
More like a moon landing.

View from the top.
Long Reef beach and Dee Why beach.

Long Reef Golf Course.
We walk all around it.
It is a very Beautiful walk.
We are back at Colloroy Basin Beach where we parked the car.

The fishermen were coming in.
Some had lot of fishes.
The gutted them, cleaned then and all the rubbish went to the pelicans who has
been waiting since we went for our walk.
It was fascinating looking at all those pelicans.

The fisherman gave the guts to the children to feed to the pelicans but lots of them thought it was disgusting....

Claude in the middle of it all.
After his nose operation He won't be going near fish any more.
Claude has lost his sense of smell gradually.
But a couple of week ago I came home to a fuming toaster.
I had toasted some frozen bread so I put the toaster on high.
10AM and Claude made his morning tea.
He put in the toaster raisin bread and went back to his work.
I think it was ready to catch fire.
So after 1/2 thousands dollars he is going to have an operation.
He is going kicking:
I am old why can't I live the way I am.?
Boy I deserve a gold something.
He is very good looking. yeah

Shane Birthday

Shane and his daughter Amelia.

Mykaela and Amelia helping Shane open his presents.

Mykaela spent a lot of time making this card.
I gave her a blank card, old birthday and Christmas cards,
scissors and glue, color pencils and texters.
Then I told her to do whatever she wanted .
Shane love his card.
Oh boy
He finally got his earphone stuff.
to use in planes.
I guess he travels so much for his lucrative job that he needs it!!!!!

Receiving a phone call from his mother in law.
Yes Kay we heard you singing.

Cheese fondue.
french bread, green apples, mushrooms, baby corn.

Amelia was in too.
Just after this photo she decided that she wanted to sit.
We had a good evening. A bit too hot to have a fire but.....
It was the first time that I had the 2 girls for 24 hours and I enjoyed it a lot.

twenty four hours with the two girls

Amelia woke up 6 times last night.
The two girls are still in their PJ.
Mykaela want to play with Amelia toys.
They are new to her.
Lazy bones
She has the doona in front of the TV and is reading her magazine.

She is making a birthday banner for Shane.

Doing a drawing of her whole family on the deck.
Today it is 22 degrees.

Mykaela has been waiting for Amelia to wake up so that we could go to the park.

So as soon a Amelia woke up from her morning nap we left for the park and took Amelia lunch with us. She is having a pic nic.
She only woke up at 1.15pm from 9.30am.

sister love.
OOOPS I just delete a photo of Mykaela on a twisting pole.
She was getting very dizzy.
Mykaela is going backward with her eyes shut.
very tricky.
She played so much on the monkey bars that her hands were sore.
she introduced Amelia to a couple of little girls and they said " she is cute"
Amelia in on the action.

Mykaela wanted Amelia to go down the slippery dip.
But I was too scare.

Sunday pic nic at Mona Vale Headland Reserve

The view from our pic nic spot.
Basin beach and Mona vale beach.
Mona vale Hospital where Christopher and Shane were born.

We are going on a walk. A link on the bicentennial Coastal Walkway.

This link took us to the Basin Beach in Bongin Bongin Bay.
While seating on a bench we saw a pod of dolphin cruising across the entrance of the bay.

We had a lot of steps going down to the beach and of course we had to go up again...

When we arrived at the top there was a lot of people with binoculars.
They were watching 5 whales.
So Claude went to the car to get our binoculars too.

When we got home as it was still a warm day we did a bit of gardening.
My friend Priscilla gave me this plant.

We decided that this corner was too empty....

This plant from the ginger family after having flower do new baby plant near where the flower is
We got 5 new plant to put in the corner.

Claude doing the planting.
