Possum house

We have a problem with a possum under our roof. Sitting at my PC I can hear it scratching itself.
My friend Marie from wires sent me the link to get plan to built a possum house. So Good Friday was a good day to start making it. We recycled wood we had.
Claude was the master builder and I the labourer and critic....

It was a challenge to do. Some of the wood was warped. Claude does not have good tools either.

A bit of putty to plug all the mistakes and to make it watertight before giving it a coat of oil.

Oiled, letting it dry overnight to be ready to install tomorrow.

Claude showing me were he thought we should put it. At the top of the blue broom, on that branch.
Fixed to the tree. We had to cut a branch for the box to rest on it. Claude is putting some dry leave and an apple to tempt the possum tonight. (finger crossed)

All finished. This is 14C Dresden Avenue. ( 14B is still vacant (the bird house). I do hope all that hard work will pay and that the possum like it and move in!!!!
