Palm beach

Friday we went to palm beach. We walked around for a bit. The restaurant we had planned to have lunch was closed. We had lunch at the Palm Beach golf club. It was very nice sitting in the sun.
I had the smoked salmon Caesar salad and Claude the Thai beef salad.

After lunch we went for another walk in the reserve. Last time we were there they were filming the TV series "home and away" this is summer bay (palm beach) surf life saving club.

Palm beach, it was very windy, the beach was closed.

3 dolphins were frolicking. Claude took this photos but I can't see them.
When we were driving out of Palm beach, we drove around for a bit looking at all the nice houses. A lot of them are for sale. We saw the film crew. They were blocking most of the road. It was impossible to stop the car to take a photo for the blog.

NOT helping with the cooking

On Sunday 19 April, Shane came to help Claude cut down a palm tree (not telling me) and some banana trees. The palm tree was growing too near the stairway going to my studio, but I like it. the view from my window is lovely.........
Jo stayed at home doing her uni work and Amelia came to keep me company.

I was not going to do a blog with thoses photos but I couldn't erased them without showing them off first. She is toooooo gorgeous.

Miss dribbles

She played well lying on her back but did not like it when I tried on her tummy.

Amelia is helping with the cooking.....She has been very good, she just chewed on everything I gave her. I was making "caramelized onion and goat cheese tarts" for lunch. I just talk to her while slicing all the onions. everything fine. But when I needed my 2 hands to add the red wine vineger and the brown sugar, she decided she wanted to be pick up. I through all in the pan, pick her up and she was all smile while I was stirring with one hand while holding her in the other. I put her back in her bumbo. Everything fine until again I needed two hands to put the concoction in the pastry cases. Boy! she choosed her moments for cuddles

picnic at Little Manly Point

Today we went to Manly to have a picnic, after a walk. Walk first to give us appetite. We parked the car in Fairlight and walk on the Esplanade park parade (harbor side).
We had our picnic at Little Manly point. It has a beautiful view. The park was not crowded, little Manly beach was. In the park there is free BBQ and a nice children playground with free parking if you are early.....

A bit more of the view. Right across the bay is Balmoral where we were on Sunday, you can see the island and the gazebo.

From this angle you can see the high buildings of SydneyThis is the island zoomed in.

Fairlight Beach. Across the bay is Forty Baskets Beach ( where I thought we were going today!!)
We had a lovely day in the sun as they predict rain for next week.
Now Claude is mowing the lawn and I have to get ready to go to Pilate
Au revoir

Walk to Balmoral

This is a lovely part of the walk. but coming back you have to go up a LOT of steps.

Balmoral beach, harbor side after the island there is another beach. A couple of years ago we saw a whale there.

the island The island a bit nearer

Me ( can you see me?) on the bridge to the island

During the summer they have Shakespeare play done on and around this gazebo. We came one year with friends. It gets very crowded so you have to come early to reserve your spot.

We found a rock weathered like a seat. It was very comfortable to have our pic nic and watching the going on in the bay.

We watch a girl learning this new sport. It look hard. When she finished she should get a job in Venice......

Family Easter

Claude and I with Amelia
I am glad she like her teething ring. It took me a while to choose it.

With my grand daughters

Mykaela put all her eggs in a pattern. Hey! you already ate one kinder surprise......

Amelia the bunny. Shane is changing her nappy and put her leggings as ears. Funny dad.

Amelia is asleep after her feed. Mykaela is watching TV. They both had a very busy 3 days already: Easter show, Easter at Jo's dad and this morning at our place.....
