Surprise

Claude got a surprise parcel
in the post.
A lovely card and some
chocolate coated marzipan
from Tina and Topher.

Amelia sleep over, day two

Wednesday 15 April

Amelia woke up at 6.30 am.
So Claude got up and went to do our breakfast
and bring Amelia her dish of sultanas.
We used to do that when she was little
and she was looking forward to it again
She told Claude not to forget her sultanas!!

When I was working at kindy we let the children do
picture using buttons.
So I bought some black felt pieces and let Amelia
have a go

the the toys started to come out of storage while
I was preparing the picnic.

We went to North head, it was very windy and
we did not found an nice picnic spot.
We had to go to our second choice
Amelia had taken her knitting with her.
I had created a monster (Claude said)

While grand dad dad was having
a rest we baked Anzac biscuits
Amelia did almost all the measuring
and the mixing.
She also made a tray of biscuit while
I did the other

Amelia biscuits.

At 5.30 we returned Amelia home just a few minutes
before Shane arrived from work.
Jo was better.
Fiona was there having dropped Mykaela.
We had a lovely dinner, after Amelia gave her sister
and brother their Easter eggs in paper bags that she had decorated.
And she gave her parents the Anzac biscuits she made.

Amelia sleep over, day one

Tuesday 14 April

Jo is sick,
 Josh is at kindy,
Mykaela is at her friend's place,
Shane did not go to work
is looking after Jo and doing the house cleaning.
Amelia came for a sleep over.

Shane dropped Amelia over for her long awaited sleep over.
She has such a busy life that it was
difficult to have her for 2 days.

I haven't seen anybody for Easter,
they went camping, but I had bought all the Easter eggs
for the 3 children.

I had an egg at the front door,
then a basket with an egg is it, the a bit further another egg.
and more down the stairs and all the way to
the living room.
Amelia got the message.
She took the basket and started to collect.

When Claude was in hospital I started to knit.
It relaxes me. I showed it to Amelia
and she was fascinated with it.
So I showed her how to do it.
She loved it and did not want to
do anything else.

We took her to a new playground just opened
at Colloroy beach.

She loved these mirror, I looked AWFUL

inside the climbing frame was this swing,
it was pretty difficult to go to it.

another type of swings

Tonight I had a Greek chicken casserole
already made but Amelia wanted
Vegemite noodles.......

Snake still there

Thursday 9 April

On the front page of the Manly daily was a photo
of the python, so we went to have another look.

We saw it for the first time 3 weeks ago, it must have
been a big meal it had.

We took Amelia on the 14 April to see it but it was gone

Lunch at Church point

Sunday 5 April

We are a bit fed up with the short drive
I take Claude on. So today we went a bit
further, to Church Point.

The cafe was full but they had a reservation
for  in 1h15mn.
We told them we only wanted a salad and
that we will be finished by then.
We got the best table with a beautiful view.

Claude had a chicken caesar salad.

I had a green papaya and vermicelli salad with
 chili prawn and rockmelon.
It was very nice.
We just finished as the people who booked that table arrived.

Claude was a bit tired when we got home,
he went and read in bed.
I parked the car 20 minutes away from the restaurant
and it was a bit too much for him.

Shane came to mow the lawn

Saturday 28 March

Shane came to help Claude with the garden.
He mowed the lawn and I played with Amelia and Joshua.
Claude is not allowed to push, hold heavy load for 6 weeks.

I had some dominoes from Woolworth.
Shane worked out that we had only 2 missing
to have the set.
But the children used them as building tiles.
fun too.

Amelia ask me for a book on birds.
She was very interested with it.

I had unearth Shane old camp shirt.
I don't know who was the most pleased
Shane or Amelia!

concentration

Jo is spending the day with her friend
So Shane and the children are staying
for dinner.
I made a baked dinner and there was
some baked beetroot, Amelia loved them.

Carpet python

Wednesday 25 March

I took Claude for a walk around the new section
of Narrabeen lakes.
On our way we saw a carpet python asleep
in a fern. It must be digesting a good meal.

Claude Hospital stay

Claude was admitted to hospital on Tuesday the 17 of March to remove his prostate by robotic operation,
a new procedure which is less invasive.
