busy, busy, busy

Monday 16 March

Jo had some training to do for a new job
she is getting.
Claude had to stay home preparing for
tomorrow surgery.
So it was only Joshua and I.

I first picked him up at Cathy, Jo's friend
at 9.15 am.

Then we went to swimming lesson at 10.30 am.

dressed up and ready

He is so good

Today he started learning backstroke

When we came out the sky was very dark and I
did not know what to do for the rest of the day.
I was stopped at a traffic light and there was an Aldi store.
I said to Joshua, "picnic?" "yes"
So we went shopping.

We arrived at Bobbin Head to see a lot of rescue people.
I am not sure what was going on, someone mentioned
that someone was lost in the bush.

Joshua had a play in the play ground
before we ate.
(no photos, would have been the same as last week)

Improvised picnic: Bread, guacamole, cheese, strawberries,
lamington and chocolate

then we went exploring on the boardwalk.
We saw LOT of crabs.

then we drove to Kalkari

he was very interested with the wiggly line
of the caterpillar/ moth

finely we saw some kangaroos

I am exhausted!!

Pre admission

Thursday 12 March

This morning we were up early
to go to the SAN hospital
for Claude pre admission clinic.

Boy they gave us soooo much
information we were glad that
I was there too to absorb some
of the details.

Claude had an ECG
He has a heart murmur, but it does not
give him any trouble.

Claude is not coping very well with his illness.
Today he was chattered, it not a dream/nightmare
He released that the operation is really going to happen.
He needed a drink.
So we went to lunch at The Deck in Dee Why.

We had a pumpkin salad

On a bed of humus, some roasted pumpkin,
some quinoa, feta, pepitas, crispy kale, snow peas shoot.
a lot of good stuff and a large glass of wine
followed by coffee before going shopping.

Around the lake

Friday 6 March

I woke up during the night with a headache.
I still had it in the morning.
So we aborted our plan of bicycling
around the lake, now that the circle
is completed.
But I could face a walk.
As I went my headache diminished
and I enjoyed the exercise.

It took us 2 hours of walking.
We also stopped for lunch at H2O

Rosina's Birthday

Thursday 5 March

Today the aqua girls are
celebrating Rosina's birthday.
It is tomorrow.

We are eating at the Harbord hotel.
(we call it the Harbor Hilton)

Martha and I

Rosina the birthday girl

We had a pleasant time, it was good
to catch up with old friends, some
of them don't come to aqua anymore
but still come to the lunches.

Lunch with Joshua

Monday 2 March

After swimming lesson we took Joshua
to Bobbin Head for lunch and a play.

walking along with grand dad

having a serious chat

pick a boo with grand ma

boy, that child has a huge appetite

and still room for ice cream
while the grown up had coffee

and then to the play area

He does not stay long on anything, but
try out everything a few time.

We had a lovely day with Joshua.
He is a gorgeous little boy.
He never stop talking.

We did not wait to see Amelia after school,
Claude has a doctor appointment.
He has to decide which treatment.
I am not going with him, so as not to
influence him.
