Day three: Claude birthday

Sunday 30 June
Claude is 69 years old.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY

opening his presents

A bit of sun.
We raid the freezer of all the bits of bread
and went to feed the ducks at Narrabeen Lake.

When Amelia was going too high on the swings,
Claude told her: "Amelia you are going too high,
you are scarring me"
quick as a flash she answered:
"well don't look!"

Amelia is tired she went back to the car in
the pram while Joshua walked.

After lunch Joshua went for a nap.
He has been yawning.

Amelia help making Grand dad cake
a "Far Breton"

Shane and Jo are back from Cairns in time
for the cheese fondue by the fire.

Shane playing with my camera

the rest of the photos are all blurred.

We had a very pleasant evening
and Claude and I had a restful night.

It was lovely having the grandchildren
but with so much rain it make it
very tiring trying to entertain then.

Day two: Saturday

Saturday 29 June

If I had known how wet a day it was
going to be I would have stayed in bed.

drawing, Amelia made the crown.
Now she want to be the baby.

In the afternoon we took the children to
the play ground at the mall.
It did not stop raining at all.

After they use up their energy we went
and borrowed some DVD from the library.

I don't like putting them in front of the TV
but today is exceptional.

PS: I should say in my defence that
Their parents forgot to pack up their
raincoats and gum boots.

A week end with Amelia and Joshua: Friday

Friday 28 June

Rainy Friday morning, 7.30 am
Shane and Jo just dropped the children.
They are on their way to Cairns

I just got them dressed but the hair is not done yet.
I am going to have fun, if she let me!!!

Amelia building with blocks

Joshua and grand dad are making a castle.

A cuddle for grand ma

like Amelia when she was little, Joshua enjoyed the pegs

Amelia made us laugh.....
"Who want a cup of tea, or wine, we got wine?"

Grand dad reading

a break in the rain and we were out.
Warriewood market.
Grand dad is buying the pancakes while I
queued for the coffee and apple juice.

leg watching???

I gave the children their drink and Joshua kept
giving it back to me. I thought it was strange as
I was sure he like apple juice.
Then my clever grand daughter show me
that I had to peel off the seal.!!!!!!

In the afternoon we went to Birkenhead

they have a nice play ground

We survived rainy day 1

Testing the new camera

We went to have the dead bug removed from
the lens of the camera, they asked $120.
So we thought: the camera is few years old
and I could do with a newer model.
So we bought a neat little compact camera.
The Fuji 55OEXR.
It can do a lot of stuff which is going to
take me ages to learn. And as we are going oversea
on holidays I have to practice.( when I can get it
out of Claude hands)

it remove the wrinkles

timer

no flash

outdoor

there is a GPS on this camera.
here it wrote on the photo :"salvation army"
I was in Manly so there must be a salvation army near by????
That I don't like as few photos have label
which I don't like and there is no way to remove it.

oh no wrinkles again

our backyard panoramic

our street

with blurry background

here Claude tried to have the background blurry
but it did not work.

We have a lot of learning to do.

We had Amelia and Joshua for 3 days while
Jo and Shane went to Cairns for R&R.
We took a lot of photos but most are blurry
as the children moved.

Also I am not sure why but the new photos
takes ages and ages to upload to the blog.
