Glebe Fair

Sunday 18 November

Claude has been asking me to planned our week end.
So far we went to quite a few fair.
But I think this is it.
It was fun but a bit the same.

We arrived in Glebe just in time for lunch.
We went to a Mexican beer garden.

lots of stalls, I bought a dress in one and a top in another.
I was going to buy a hat but the guy was serving
everybody around me but not me. So I left. No hat.

there was 3 stages.
we stopped and listen a few time.

some young men were running jumping over people
it was a bit scary to watch
and more people down
 when the jumping crowd went
the dancers arrived

We went to have a look around.

We spotted our next lunch destination.

Nice day, very hot but windy.
Next week Claude is choosing the outing

Newtown Festival

Sunday 11 November

My sister Alice birthday

We went to Newtown for their festival.

There was a HUGE market, so many
things to see and buy.
Lot of food stand too.
A huge children area with all different
rides and activities.
And 3 stages with live music.

We saw this Huge car in the street of Newtown

 The festival in
Camperdown memorial rest park.
(yes next to the cemetery)

We sat on the grass eating our lunch
some Turkish stuff, nice.
The music was nice but we got too hot.
so we moved to the next stage under the shade cloth.
this was at the second stage
The kids were very good
It say on the program: Expect the unexpeced
A brilliant line of local acts.
something that I have never seen before
(I don't go out much.)
a little trailer with and ATM machine.
The queue was very long, this is what made
me look what they were queuing for.

3rd stage

People everywhere you turn to.
Every one was having a good time.
The park was heavily patrol, you were not allowed
alcohol in but they were selling some.
The bags were search at the entrances.
Also there was a ban on the sale of
bottle water, they had "water refill stations".
And for once I did not take a picnic so
I was quite thirsty by the time I found something
to my liking.
