Flint and Steel Beach

Friday 23 September

Ku Ring Gai Chase

We went back to the National park
but to do a bush walk to a beach.
We were very early and being a
Friday there was nobody else.

a balancing rock
Claude waving a stick in front of him
to remove the spider web.
Not fun when you are the first one
to use the path.
nearing the beach.
We have to go down a big cliff.
That was OK at 9.30am
but at 3.30pm it was 32 degrees
and we had to go back up,
like mountain goats.
(are very out of shape)
first view of the beach, nobody!
on the other side.

When we arrived at the beach there
was 7 boats with people fishing
so it was not that private.
I collected some shells, had morning tea,
had a rest, read a bit, had lunch
and rested  some more.
Claude went for a walk while I read.

I took this photo for Christopher.

Last week end he and Tina showed us
their photos of their holidays in Finland and Italy.
There were quite a few (a lot)
of Christopher feet as he was relaxing.

Boy I am tired, I just came back from Pilate
and now my tummy muscles hurt too.

Sunday 11 September

We went to Bondi Beach for the Festival of the winds.

 Beautiful banners
just behind us you could make a kite for $3 for the material.
 some of the kites
 alien

the whales were quite impressive

one part of the beach was reserved for the
families to fly their kites.
we enjoyed the crowd and the excitement.
Some little children were so funny, I wish
we had Amelia with us.
a plane came and did some aerobic

We had a lovely day, but the wind kept on changing
direction and Claude found it cold. But he was not
