Parramatta Heritage tour

Tuesday 14 June

With a lot of rain coming down we
set out on a bus tour to visit Parramatta.
We were not very lucky that even if it
stopped rainning each time we arrived
to a viewing spot the rain would start.
So I took a lot of blurrrrrrrrr photos
through the windows.
Strangely enough we had a really good
day.
Our tour guide Historian Judith Dunn
made the tour very interesting.

Windy, wet Manly

Monday 3 June

Queen's birthday long week end.
We stayed indoor yesterday as
it rained all day.
Today we went for a walk from
Queenscliff to Shelly beach

 Ready for rain.
We were lucky we only had a few drops.

 nice rock formation

empty Manly beach

 very windy

There is a lot of contoversy about those
rain water pipes.
There has been few surfing accidents.
I have known those pipes to be here
for more than 40years.
I thought I should take a photo for
memory just in case they are removed
in the future.

A surfing competition was going on,
but too cold for us to stop and watch.

An empty Queenscliff beach.
On our way back we stopped at the
North Steyne SLSC to have a
look at a paintings exhibition.
Nice paintings...a bit pricy

A new garden

Friday 10 June

It had taken us a few week end to clear
this bit of the garden.
We had ivy and a lot of jasmine
growing all over a little bush.
We removed everything.
We filled up a recycling bin
just with roots.
To celebrate we went to the
nursery and bought 3 camelias
to put against the bare wall.

The problem is finding a solution to cover
the man hole so that the water board
has access.
With all the climbing vines they could not
see it so we were better off
but it was looking very untidy.
And this is near the path to the
front door.

The rest of the garden is not that bad.
I like this part with all the colouful foliages.

car crash

Wednesday 8 June

Coming back from aqua at about 11.30 am
I was going up Warringah road in the right
lane of the 3 carriages way.
A misubishi Triton was in the middle lane
just a bit in front of me.
When we near a side road a car came
fast and went in front of the Triton
and lost its speed (as it is a hard hill).
The Triton driver not to crash into it swerved
right into me.
I got catapulted accross the medium strip right into the
path of 3 lanes of traffic coming down.
There was a lot of horns blarring.
I managed to stop the car without colliding with anybody.
A passing policeman moved the car for me
as I was shaking baddly.

Somebody was looking after me.

Both the young driver of the Triton and I
were ok, and the car is not very damaged.
But every pannel on the passenger side
need work on or changing.
The assessor said that the passenger
side will need to be respray.

Yep very lucky.!!
With all the noise I was very surprised that the
car was still in one piece.

 Waiting for the assessor

Monday 13 June
Just been for a drive.
I am still a bit jumpy but I slept well last night
and did not have a nightmare.
