My birthday dinner

Amelia.
I did not have her today she was with her Nana and I missed her terribly.

Me,( the birthday girl )with my 2 girls

A log cake with candles.
The cake was full of grog.
yummy

Amelia loved the candles or was it the cake?
She was being very vocal.

Look at Claude...he is eyeing the cake!

She will be ready to blow her candle come October .
I have to hold her tight or she would have got to the cake.

Blowing up the candles

Jo is feeding Amelia some of the cake.
Before this, Amelia had her vegies, 2 teething rusks, a yogurt
and she still went wild when she saw the cake.
the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Amelia and Kay (Nana)

Mykaela was all dressed up.
She was wearing her flower girl dress form her mum and Shane 's wedding

She danced and play the guitard and the piano.

She was wearing lipstick.
At the moment she has the 2 front teeth missing.

The weather was wild outside all the way to Hornsby.
But we spent a lovely evening.
Champagne and french pate canapes were waiting.
Also smelly, yummy cheese ( from Paul) and a spicy dip.
I opened my present. A big box. ( I saved the paper)
A 4 slices toaster.
No more burn toasts.
Yippee
A nice dinner followed.
Roast lamb, couscous with almond and sultanas, snow peas, zucchini and.....
A cake with candles.

Botany Bay National Park

Cape banks.

Cape Banks aquatic reserve

Cape Banks.

The wrecks of SS Minmi 1937

A rock just balancing.

Cape Banks, a bunker. There is a lot of them in the area

La Perouse

Bare Island.
Just across from where we had our pic nic at little Congwong beach.
When we arrived at the beach there was only men there.
First we thought it was a nudist beach. But a notice forbade nude bathing and all the men were covered.
We started on our sandwiches......and a man just in my line of vision took off his speedo .
After that it was free for all.
Fat old man with big belly. The young one still had there speedos on when we left....

Captain Cook landing place

Browns Rock. Full of fishermen.
I ask one if he had a good catch and he said "not even a nibble"

Claude near a bunker at Henry Head
The wreck of the SS Minmi at Cape Banks from Henry Head.
Sometime the waves were high and covered most of the wreck.

More bunker
We had fun exploring Botany Bay National Park.
We did a lot of walking.
The scenery was wild and the views were breathtaking.

South Head

Macquarie Light house

The coast line.

Claude
We had a long walk to Watson Bay for our pic nic at the beach and after we walk right to the top of the cliff. It was very windy.

All along the cliff there is gun placement. It is a shame they remove the guns it would have look more interesting.

Across the harbor we can see North head.

We can see the ferry coming from the city to Manly.

view of the city and the Harbor Bridge

me having lunch.
Across the path was the beach with lot of sailing boats but my picture is blurred.
We were between Doyle restaurant and Vaucluse yachting club
eating avocado, cheese and tomato sandwiches...and a pear.

view of the city from the cliff path.
The city was in a haze. (pollution?)

The rugged cliff.
Lots of boats crashed on those rocks I guess this is why they built the light house here.

Would you believe it?
At a good vantage point on the cliff we saw this chair attached to a tree with 2 chains and 2 padlocks.....
