Baby sitting

Mykaela 61/2y and Amelia 3monhs + a bit

On Wednesday night I went to babysit Mykaela and Amelia.
After dinner I gave them their bath. Jo told me to put them toguether in the big bath. It was a bit nerve raking having a 3 months old baby in the big bath ( a first for me ) But both girls enjoyed it. Mykaela was so caring a real little mother. I sat on a little chair near by and wash them.
It look like Amelia has her mother red hair and her father big blue eyes. She will be a stunner.....
(that the proud grand mother talking)

visit to grand ma

Shane and Jo dropped in for a quick shower. They have been to Manly Beach for a swim.
They wanted to freshen up to go to the mall to look for a top for Jo. She is going to a girls night out and has nothing nice to fit her. ( as she is breast feeding)

They left Amelia with me, having a nice cuddle. She fell asleep in my arms.

As it was so hot I put her on the beans bag.

She woke up very happy and wathed the tennis with me.

speeding ticket

Well I receive my first speeding ticket and it is all Claude fault that I got it.

Coming back home from our holidays in Perth we drove by the Great ocean road.

We did not have any bookings and thought we could found accomodations anywhere.

Boy, were we wrong. Everywhere was booked, even the caravan parks.

So we drove on to Belmont on the environs of Geelong. We were both tired from the long drive and all the sights seeing and we were starving.

We took the first motel. At the reception, Claude ask where was the nearest restaurant ( we did not fancy driving to Geelong) The guy told us to go to the pup/club, but to hurry up as they were closing at 8.30pm and it was 8.20pm.

We did not go to our room but drove straight there to find it closed. S...., What to do? All aroud us was big buildings, offices, all closed.

So I said to Claude not to worry that I saw a Mc Donald.

And here is how my 64years old husband reacted.

" I don't like Mc Donald. They don't have proper food. What about your weight"

We went. We got a big Mc and small fries. Ate in 2mn flat.

"you will have to drive. My hands are all greasy". " Get a serviette" "I don't know where they are'.

So I got my keys, went to the driver seat. I was furious with his little tandrum.

And few metres out of the Mc Donald was that speeding camera.

And that is how it is all Claude fault.

The fine is for $ 142 plus 1 demerit point.

For that, we could have gone to a nice restaurant and have some wine.

spare room

Last week we bought a trunk to use as a coffee tablein the spare room when the sofa bed is a sofa.

They wanted$330 for it. The lid has a big crack from one end to the other.

I did not want it, I thought we should look some more. But Claude thought it gave the trunk a more rustic look. So we bargained and got it for $270. (I still think that the cane trunk which was there before was OK.)

This left one corner of the room nude. So yesterday at Freedom we bought some twigs with fairy lights. We also bought a tall vase to put them in at a bargain shop.

It look very nice

I thought : "this is it, we don't need another thing for this room". Well I was wrong. Claude want to replace the TV.
The poor man has been watching his shows in the spare room while I watch the tennis on the big TV.
Has to go to the gym now.
